Long term project.

Anyone here have an unfinished project that you have been putting off for a long period of time? Eight years ago I picked up a couple of 1911 lowers and enough internals and top end parts to build one of them. The other frame has been safely tucked away in the back of my safe ever since. My son is in need of a 1911 to play with (IDPA), and what do ya know! I ran across a parts kit in "Shooter's" catalog that contains everything I need to complete my project! I just sent the order off. The cost of the kit with shipping was about $290. I'll have about $325 in the gun once I get it built. I'll change out a few of the internals for aftermarket parts along the way which will run the cost up a bit, but I'll still come out with a nice, slick 1911 for a song. Feels good to be back on track! Anyone else have long term projects going?
