I have deer hunted for 23 years, and have never used a slug gun. Bow, muzzleloader, rifle all that but no slug. I have been on this sight for a couple weeks now, and have been contiplating a new Tracker with open sights to just add more of a challenge to my gun hunting.
Yesterday I took my 25+ year old Topper Buck model 162, and killed a big doe at 51 yards and doe #2 at 47 yards, both dropped like being hit with a Mack truck. WOW!! I came home a took the scope of my muzzleloader and will order my Tracker next week. This feels like it did 23 years ago.
The accuracy on the 51 yards was a little off, but thge 47 yards was right on the money. I believe practice with fully rifled Tracker I will be a Whitetail terror next year.
