misfires and turkey laughter
« on: December 18, 2004, 02:39:57 PM »
Hi guys. here's what happened. i was out in the stand this morning, just outside of a roost. i had my model 88 topper with me. the turkeys flew down, and i had a monster tom dead to rights about 15 yards out. i pulled the trigger and CLICK.  dammit!!  needless to say, the turkeys found it quite amusing, as they were cackling at me as they ran  . i'm shooting winchester supreme 3" loads, but i'm not sure if it's the gun or the ammo. i'm kinda leaning towards the ammo, but this has happened twice with 2 different boxes of supremes.  does anyone know what the max. firing pin protrusion should be? and the minimum spec too, i guess

Thanks, bryan
