cast bullets for hunting?

what do you guys think about cast bullets for hunting.i have some jacketed bullets for my 357max but now i am thinking about some cast bullets with gas checks too.i have looked into molds and some already made bullets.i have always used jacketed bullets in my rifles so cast are new to me.how they work on deer size game in the 180 and 200gr size?

jeff,they killed all kinds of animals for years with cast bullets.They even used BLACKPOWDER with them.
   They work quite well really! 180-200 grain bullets in your 357 max should reach 1400-1500 fps.Powder selection is about the same as with jacketed bullets.You can buy or cast your own A friend has a 14"contender that loves a 358429 bullet he casts.It weighs about 170 grains and goes 1750 fps+- on top of Blue dot powder.He has taken several whitetails using this load.Please do not ask what he lubes them with.He uses many different lubes,some home made some bought.
