Does anyone own this scope?

I have heard they used to be the "creme, de la creme" of the Bushnell line??

Basically, just an Elite series w/o the raingaurd feature??

Is all of this true?

How does it compare to a Nikon Buckmaster??

Which would you prefer?

The advantage of the Scopechief is that it focuses down to 10 yards, but has a duplex.

The NB has a mildot, but only focuses down to 50 yards.

Yes bushnell scopechief is a good riflescope, I put one on my win 70 featherlite .270,this past Oct I put it too the test, low light dusk shooting, 300+ yrds made out clearly my target, good light gathering capibility's.
3-9-40, took the muley no problem. :-)

Goose7856, Can't help you out with the new scopechief. I did buy a bushnell scopechief scope in about 1972 and used it for about 15 years. It was reliable and rugged. Had a crosshair radicle and you could turn a ring and a heavy post would flip up for low light shooting. I believe at the time I purchased that scope it was bushnells top of the line scope. I will say that IMO most new scopes far surpass the optics of the older ones. Regards, Byron

a scopecheif on this rifle.i fine scope for the money.i sure wish i had two of them.i got so i can deal with it having only one of them but it took awhile though

quick, do you find 6x too much power for squirrel hunting in woods??

I just went outside and tried to compare a scope at 4.5x to a scope at 6x, and cant really tell if it would make a difference......??

I want to make my decision b/f 3 PM so I get the quick shipping rate at theOZ.com

Trying to decide b/t the 4200 6-24 and the Nikon BM 4.5-14

Yes, I've had some close shots on ground squirrels and the field of view up close(less than 25-30yds) makes it hard to get on em fast. the 4.5x would be better. For what you want to do, the 6-24x will be a bit much, IMO.
