RE-finishing titanium
« on: December 20, 2004, 12:13:24 PM »
:D 'evnin' y'all,

I've got a Taurus Titanium, (really, really nice revolver) that I'd like to refinish. Whats different than re-doing a steel gun? I'd really like to refinish it. Thanks for your patience and all the good info on this site. Be safe.

RE-finishing titanium

Seems to me I recall there is some kinda protective coating or other put on titanium guns that it's quite important not to remove. So if you're talking about any kinda sanding or surface finish removal I'd think long and hard on that and discuss it with the manufacturer first.

Titanium finish

If it is a colored finish, titanium must be anodized like aluminum.  It will not take blueing.
