Just curious,
How is the WW45JHP bullet secured in the case mouth? Is it in a cannelure, or some other type of crimp, or simply a friction fit. Is there any sign of sealing material (i.e. water proofer) that influences the initial release of the bullet from the case mouth? I've read the treatise that Richard Lee wrote concerning the Lee factory crimp dies, and it seems to make sense (concerning the pressure curve, jump to the lead, etc,...) Maybe that's the magic ingredient.
Also, is there anything unusual about the ogive of the bullet that is different than some of the other offerings of the same or similar weights?
I'm sure most of the die-hard reloaders have considered these variables, but I missed them in previous posts.
Just some food for thought,
