I owned a Weatherby Accu-Mark in .338/.378 and it is the real deal. Very accurate and flat shooting. I never used any factory ammo in it. I tried both IMR-7828 and H-1000 powder with the 250 grain Sierra. H-1000 worked the best for me as far as accuracy. The recoil was not too bad because the stock is well-designed. The Accu-Mark comes with a screw-on muzzle brake but I never used it because I don't like the noise. I'd rather have a sore shoulder than damaged hearing. I finally sold the rifle when I realized that my .338 Win. Mag. would do everything I needed as far as a hunting rifle goes. Also, I prefer controlled-feed actions on my hunting rifles.
