Purchased first Handi-rifle ever yesterday.
« on: December 22, 2004, 08:51:42 PM »
Well i went and ordered a new handi- rifle on monday in .280 REM caliber. The guy at dunhams told me 2-3 weeks delivery so i was less than thrilled. So he calls me Wednesday morning and tells me the rifle is here!!! 3 day delivery!! I am well pleased, paid 249.99 which is a bit high, but no one around here seemed to have one in .280 in stock so i can't complain to much. It has an NU serial number with an ejector. Have'nt shot it yet as i have to order my scope and rings yet. I am thinking bushnell 3200 elite with rainguard and 3-9x40mm. It looks like it may be the perfect deer rifle, light trigger pull of about 3.75 maybe 4 lbs. The hammer is silent when you cock it, no game scaring metallic clicks at all!! Can't wait to load up some handloads i am think 140grn nosler partition or ct silvertips, but i will break her in with factory ammo. I will post when i get to shoot it. Currently i am looking at 6-12 inches of snow here in southeast michigan, so i may be busy riding the sled or shoveling
