MY FIRST 40/40
« on: January 29, 2003, 09:51:23 AM »
I wasn't going to do this but no one else is doing anything on this forum and since I have lots of fun shooting Cowboy Silhouette, I might as well crow about my first perfect score.

I did it Thursday and was the first one in my club to get a perfect score with the small bore cowboy rifle.  I shoot a Marlin 39A with a Williams receiver sight.  I was shooting CCI Blazers.

It felt really good but this week I will have to do try to do it again and that may be difficult.  It will still be fun though.

You can only hit the target if the barrel is pointed in the right direction when the bullet leaves the barrel.

Congrats on your 40 X 40.
We are shooting this game with the Hunter Pistol folks, and it is a great use of range time... I really enjoy shooting the different equipment for a change from the usual silhouette stuff.  It is very different shooting iron sights.......
