I love the Bushnell scopes..the rainguard works great. I did not however like the handgun version. The reason I didnt is because I found that in hunting situations, you dont always have the luxury of a constant eye relief or distance of your head from the scope. I find that the Leupold and Burris scopes suited me better because they have a more variable eye relief range.
I will say however that I use the Elites on all of my long arms.
One scope I would definitely look at now however is Nikons variable handgun scope. A buddy has the fixed 2x Nikon scope on his 454 Casull and that scope is the clearest and brightest I have ever used. If the quality of the new variable is the same as the fixed version, I wouldnt hesitate to get one.
