Sorry about the stupid questions , thanks for the patients in answering them. Can you fire 22 short, lr and mags out od f a 22 magnum H&R? I think you can but just want to verify it. Thanks again.

witha .22 magnum rifle or pistol 22 magnum ammo should only be used. I have heard people shooting .22's out of a 22 mag but they said the case swellsup and it will not eject/extract them. it should not be tried.

A 22 mag has a different chamber diameter as well as the difference in length, so the answer is as said, definitely not a safe thing to do.

You can fire the obsolescent .22 WRF in a .22 Mag This was fairly common for hunting small game when the .22 WMR was new and the .22 WRF was much more available and much less expensive.

Not much use now unless you happen on some partial boxes or are willing to pay a premium for ammo that is a trifle more powerful than .22 lr, and much less destructive than .22 WMR.
