Riggor Rabbit.....Save your Money!!
« on: December 29, 2004, 07:07:38 AM »
I bought a Rigor Rabbit predator decoy at Gander Mountain a couple of weeks ago.  Cost me about $44.00

I've played around with it a little bit and come to some conclusions.

1st....This is going back to Gander Mountain!

2nd....It's very poorly made.  The motor has a "One way switch", a button to turn it on.  You have to pull a battery to turn it off.

3rd.....It makes a lot of noise as it vibrates.

4th.....It doesn't really flop around like I think it should.  It just sits there and vibrates on the foam pedestal.

We have since started using a "decoy dog" to hunt coyotes with.  He is a smallish Border Collie named Lucky and I don't know why you'd need anything else.  He pulls the coyotes attention away from you like nothing you've seen

So, I just thought I'd pass this on.  Save your money on the Rigor Rabbit.
You haven't hunted......Until you've hunted the hunters

I have used the decoy heart, its a small round ball that wobbles around.  I used either a salted fox skin or rabbit hide instead of the fake fur decoy that came with it.  It really flops around but the battery doesn't last that long, you have to carry a few with you for a weekend hunt.
