In the coming year I hope to visit here a bit and learn more about Marlin Rifles. Believe me I need all the help I can get. So for now, greetings to all.

The best way to find out about the rifles is to buy as many as the boss will let you, and start shootin :lol: One of each would be a good starting point :wink:

Thanks Big Med. I must admit I always wanted on of the big lever guns in .45-70.

A 45-70 is the best place to start. I think it's their most versatile gun. You can go from lobbing big, slow easy shooters to a different load fringing on light artillery. It handles them all well...fun gun to shoot. I hope you are able to get one in the near future.

I would start with a 38/55 336CB while you can still get one. I dont believe they have it cataloged for 2005. I have to say of all me lever guns the 38/55 has to be my favorite. Then you could always graduate to the 45/70. My Guide gun is a real tack driver and no doubt it kills deer in their tracks, but the 38/55 has done the same, just seems more fun to shoot. and ya got to get a 30-30, 35 Rem, and at least a couple of the 1894s.
