ProMag Magazines?
« on: January 02, 2005, 04:35:12 PM »
One thing I have never liked about the Enfield 2As was their large magazine.  I know it is correct but I wanted a smaller magazine for general use/hunting.  I found that ProMag makes a 5 and 10-cartridge magazine for the Enfield 2A (http://www.promagindustries.com/enfield.asp).  Has anyone had experience with them?  Is their quality worth the price asked?

I am only speaking from what I have seen on forums. The general opinion is that the 10 round mags work great but the five rounders don't.
I have a 10 rounder that works good.
The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.

45/70..it's almost a religion.

Jim B.  A bunch of years ago lots of guys used to place a wood block in the magazine to limit the number of rounds from 10 to 5 for legal hunting.  I met a fella once who had a gunsmith who managed to weld in place a block of sorts to accomplish the same thing.  Have not heard a lot of good things about aftermarket 5 shot mags for the SMLEs.  HTH.  Mikey.
