CW,

Do you have a criteria for items you would like to see posted in the reference library?

As Indiana Jones said, "I'm making this up as I go."

The references should fit into the policies of GBO and be related directly to the topic and nature of the forum.

My thoughts were simply: "where can I go to find out more about ...."

Ordnance Museum for Reference sticky

Tim...another museum to add to the list is The U.S. Army Ordnance Museum at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.  Their website is:
www.ordmusfound.org.  Since 9/11, their security may have been enhanced somewhat but still worth checking it out. They also have a little gift catalog containing a lot of Ordnance stuff including some tiny cannon models (metal,  non-firing types)   Blaster (Bob)

Bob -

Good addition.  I had a cousin who spent a career there in 'small arms' testing (106mm and smaller).

Tim....I was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds during the latter part of 1955.  (Wow, shows I qualify to be know as an old fart)  I went through the Small Arms Repair School. I joined the Army due to my love of firearms of all types.  They kept us so darn busy though, that I never did go through the museum.  One of these days we are going back to the D.C. area just to look around and will have to stop by the APG facility - if it's not closed due to terrorist activities.    Blaster (Bob in CO)

Just a comment on the reference material. I think DD and CW have done a great job bringing together a lot of excellent resources for all of us.

With more than 8 billion web pages floating around in cyber-space, it might take awhile to locate all this info.

Thanks Guys!
