Time to reflect on the arrival of the Henry
« on: January 12, 2005, 01:54:08 AM »
My son, C. Henry, or Hank to his aunt, is two years old today!

He already knows a rifle from a shotgun on sight (or, "raffles" and "shootguns", to Henry).  He's got his own earmuffs, so he comes along to watch mom, dad, and big sister shoot.

Who else has got some little shooting buddies, sons, daughters, grandkids, that show signs of picking up the sport?  Is anyone besides me making matching miniature gun belts out of 9 oz. oak tanned leather for their kids, or am I the only one?  Hey, those cap guns have got to be able to hang there with some style, after all! :D

Congratulations leverfan, fine lookin boy you got there.    Kids are great, enjoy it while you can cuz they sure grow up quick.
I'm blessed with 2 boys myself.    Connor-6 & Brendan 8. They both been shooting since they were 4 if not a smidge earlier. Got Connor his own 22 last year, a crickett, cool little single shot bolt gun. Brendans had a Marlin 15ys since he was 5 but he's really just growing into it now. When the time comes I highly recomend the crickett made by Keystone sporting arms if memory serves. Its a tiny weapon whereas the Marlin & most others are full size actions with a short stock & barrel.
Heres a pic of mine, Connors got his brothers gun in his hands & Brendans got my 336.

Wish the kid a happy birthday for me!  :D
