I used to shoot 10 grains of Blue Dot with a 150-kt cast bullet but I quit using it because it was too temperature sensitive. At the time I was shooting NRA Hunter Pistol Silhouette and the load shot about 8" higher at 100 yards when it was really hot. I switched to 12 grains of 2400 and that was some better and I settled on 800-X, which was the most accurate. These loads were right at 1,000 fps. If you look in the latest Speer manual, they like Alliant Power Pistol and even old Unique. I also used to shoot 14 grains of Blue Dot with a 125-grain JHP, 6" barrel revolver and it was a real burner. Those little 125s used to really tear things up, especially things like watermellons, etc. I think now that the manuals show a lesser load as max, so check the manual before you load this because it is max.
