these bullets were recovered from deer too.all were shot at over 2000fps with muzzle loaders.i tried the Hornady SSTs this year but im going back to the Barnes Expanders MZ.we got the buck but look how much is left of the 250gr SST.there isnt much left of it,i think it lost over 75 percent of its weight.the Barnes hold together and retain almost 100 percent of their weight

Very impressive Jeff.  It makes me wonder about  the penetration with all those recovered slugs :eek:

Scott,the penatration is very good.the only way we have been able to recover a bullet is to shoot a deer out at a distance or shoot one head on,north to south if you know what i mean.broad side shots always pass on through at normal yardages
