VVCG Pistol Grip - Help!
« on: January 05, 2005, 05:17:42 AM »
have a bit of a unique problem.....  A good friend of mine ordered a custom wood set from Virgin Valley (before their recent troubles).  As you know, they have had trouble and are now out of business.  They finished his forend but the pistol grip has only been inletted to the frame and the aluminum bedding block/draw bolt pillar installed.  My friend has waited almost a year now for this wood and, needless to say this is a disappointment.

I am looking for someone who can finish this pistol grip.  Any suggestions would be appreciated

Maybe a local gunsmith/stockmaker might be able to help.  This actually sounds like a fun project to me.  The worst (most tedious) part of making stocks is fitting them.  The fun part is shaping them.  If it was set up for a G2 frame and he'd be interested in selling it let me know.
