Does any one hunt hogs with a rb? I have a chance to go hog hunting, and was thinking of using my GPR.

Opinions?

I haven't used my GPR on hogs yet but it does the job on deer and elk so IMO there should be no reason not to work on hogs. There vitals are a little further forward than you might think looking at them so don't shoot too far back!

Have probably got 30-35 of em with the .54 rb.

biggest 400+ lb.

shot placement a must

here in florida they are like flies.

I used my GPR last year with success on a 150 lb. sow. She dropped in her tracks with a 50 caliber round ball. I wouldn't hesitate to use my GPR and a roundball on any hog.

I have killed 7 hogs with the .50 round ball. It is a hog killer to beat the band. Jut put it in the lungs and the hog won't go far.
On a hog, the shoulder has great meat, much better than a deer. Another good reason to miss that, and just get the lung shot.
