It will handle above what the Marlin will handle, just depends on what the shooter's shoulder can handle! Low level 3 loads are possible but need to be worked up slowly as each rifle is different. Some shooters on the NEF/H&R board are shooting 2300fps 300 & 350gr loads with no problems other than sore shoulders....I've shot 350gr loads at 2100fps with great accuracy and acceptable recoil with a good recoil pad and some lead in the stock bolt hole.
