Remington 34. Info and/or opinions?
« on: January 09, 2005, 12:05:03 PM »
Was in a gunshop today and saw a Remington model 34 rifle for sale. It's a tube fed bolt action .22 short, long, or lr. Appeared fairly old but in pretty nice shape. Just a few scratches on the wood. No visible cracks, dents or gouges. Nice bluing with little wear and no pitting. Looks to be original with open sights and hasn't been drilled or tapped for scope. I left to go home but couldn't stop thinking about this rifle. Somethin' about it that's calling to me. Priced at $99. Anybody have any experience with or knowledge of these. (i.e. Are they good shooters? Do they have a nice trigger? Value? How many were made, and when?) I would appreciate any info or opinions you have to share.
