I'm planning a hog hunt and want to use a handi-rifle in .45-70. Problem is, I need a rear aperature sight. Can't see/focus those silly sights half way down the barrel. Anyone have a solution?

NEF Customer Service will sell you the peep sight they put on the Buffalo Classic and the front sight for the .22 Hornet barrel. Several here are using that combo.
Marbles makes a similar, but all steel peep, that I like, but hole spacing is wrong.

The Williams FP sight from NEF with a hornet front work great on my .357 Max, they are alot better than the WGRS but it works to, Just order them from NEF.

Try this one that NEF sells for the BC.
Here is the write up for it.
Williams Rear Sight (FP Series)
Ideal for the H&R Buffalo Classic and Target Model rifles, the FP Series rear sight is strong, rugged and dependable, and weighs only 1½ ounces. The internal micrometer adjustments feature positive internal locks.
Part No.: R03193
Price: $59.95
It is found on the
Store Specials Page
The Fool Proof (FP) sight I got for my Win 94 Big Bore is a very well made sight.
