What finish gives the deepest finish?

What finish will give the deepest finish, you know looks like it is a 1/2" thick!
Polyurethane? Automotive Clear Coat, Tru oil, and anything that you have tried?

Polyurethane is a build upn finish that is it does not penetrate the wood. It builds up on top and weatherby remington etc. use one flavor of poly or another for their high gloss finishes. Of course TruOil will really shine to is you wish..
