G2 Barrels on old frames

I have older 70,000 series frame. I know I need to change to the older style lugs with new bbl I bought.  I was looking for a new bbl on Midway and they had a note that the G2 bbl may not fit on older frames less than 120,000 (serial number). I ordered a set of old lugs from TC and said the new g2 bbl may bind on the new frames and that they could rework my frame for $50 and fit all of my bbls.  Has anyone tried the G2 bbl on pre 120000 serial number frames and have anyone had problems.

Archie are you still around? I too have had this problem did changing the lug to the old style solve the problem mine is in the 47'000 range. i don't realy want to send it in for the work.
