Rings for CZ 452 Varmint .17
« on: February 01, 2003, 08:00:42 PM »
Will Signature Zee rings fit the new CZ Varmint without an adapter.  If an adapter is needed,  which one works the best.

Thanks, John (Rojo)

I looked it up on the web and Since the CZ's use a 11mm dovetail you will probably need a adapter. The website I looked at used adapters made by Weaver and the Burris Signature Zee Rings on a CZ 452. this is where I found the info:
http://ebrooks77.50megs.com/weavermounts.html After I posted this I could not get it to open but this is where I found it if it will not open go to dogpile search engine type in Signature Zee Rings and you will recognize the address for the site. It says something about the mounts and CZ"S I hope this helps. Jim  :-)
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

I haven't shot it yet.  As soon as I get some rings on it and a Bushnell 4200 4-16,  or a Nikon Monarch 5.5-16,  I'll let you know.  It is my first CZ.  I bought the 452 varmint because,  I liked the heavier target crowned and recessed barrel,  and I noticed it was all steel - something kinda rare nowadays in new production rifle at that price.  Also,  I thought quality of workmanship for a rifle in that price range wasn't too darn shabby.  A little old world mixed in with the new.

I have a Ruger .17,  and it is gonna be kinda neat to compare one against the other.

rings for CZ .22

If you want modest priced 11 mm rings try the Beeman airgun rings from Cabelas - I think I got mine for around 20-24 bucks.  I believe those rings are made for the heavy air guns that put out 2 direction recoil that is much tougher than a .22 rf so they should hold up well.
