I'm thinking of buying a Handi in .280 Remington.  What kind of accuracy and velocity can I expect to get.  I understand the .280 has a 26 inch barrel.

The .280 Rem. is probably one the best and most overlooked deer calibers going. Very close to the 7mm Rem Mag in performance. I'm not sure that this price is that good though. Wally World has the synthetic at $196 NIB.

I get 2975 fps. for a 3 shot average in my 280 and the recoil is very light, for  the 150 gr.   It averages close to 1 1/4 to 1 !/2" at 100 yds. and the 139 gr reloads that I throwed together are a little smaller group. Digger

pelican pawn in denham springs, la has a .280 in like new condition, $199.  they do deal some.  225-664-6072   sales@pelicanpawn.brcoxmail.com.

would buy the rifle if i could exchange the barrel for a .243 win.
