The Mutterings of the Mad Monk on Black Powder

Mad Monk aka in real life, Bill Knight, is a renowned expert on the subject of black powder and substitute powders.  His private articles file has just been made public on Capn Henry's website about the history of Laflin & Rand Powder Company.  The history of L&R is also an excellent read.

Respective to the Mad Monk's articles about the various brands of powder - not many of us BPCR shooters really know 'What's in the Can' other than how it shoots.  He has analyzed nearly every powder and also provided many historical and processing aspects of BP and the brands.  You will not find this information anywhere else - not in any reference book or discussion on any forums.  So, sit back and enjoy reading his articles and the results of his analyzes!

Regards
John Boy

Thanks!!!  Interesting reading!!!
The download link gets you an article on smokeless.  The "mutterings" link gets you 9 parts on BP; several articles on Goex; and one article on "Smokey substitutes".

Kudos to John Boy for the post.
