Folks: Talk about withdrawal, last Wed."s ice storm knock out the electicity here abouts. Yesterday I borrowed a generator and got running water and lights back, but today the line crews smiled upon me and got the lines back up, THANKS GUYS. You kinda take these guys for granted till you need'em, they came from all over ILL. OH. NC SC MI and others I'm sure. While I was out trying to find Coleman latern fuel, one fellar kinda growled about the storm, I smiled and replied " at least it wasn't a thirty foot wall of water"! Good To See All Is Well:  :D <>< Duce:

Glad you got your power back on. Northern Indiana got hit pretty hard with ice. I think they said tonight it may be Wednesday or Thursday before power is fully restored. We got pretty lucky here. I live about 50 miles straight west of Indy and all we had was heavy rain. South and west of where I live they have a lot of flooding but the water is now receding but they are predicting heavy rain for the next couple of days. I'm ready for spring and summer already. :D

We were hit pretty hard here in Central PA also, but things are about back to normal finally.  Going home from work was fun; dragging trees of the road with my tow chain at 1 AM was invigorating.  Hell, I've a wood burner, two coleman stoves, lantern, portable radio, flashlights and batteries, and our water company didn't lose power, so I had water also.  I'll take a measely ice storm over walls of water traveling at 500 MPH anytime.  God have mercy on those poor folks.

TrapperZach, I thought it was very kind of you not to mention the 70 degree temp's we've been experiencing down here in NC in your last post.  Oops.   Ah.. you northern boys just ignore this post okay.  Seriously, glad to hear your okay Duce.  This might be a good time to catch up on some reloading. :D

It seems people take for granted the nice customs we have today. TV, computer, phone, frig, microwave, basically electricity in general. I have a wood burner and every summer is the time I go out to gather firewood for the next winter. This one hasn't been so bad but there has been a few that were nasty. Anyway, within the last 2 months, we had our power out twice. Both times were about a 8-10 hour duration. Even with that small of an outage, life becomes very limited with the things you can do. I think I made a bowl of soup on the woodburner the last time it was out :)

Its good to see you made out ok. Power outages sure aren't my favorite thing
