Cabela`s Gore-Tex/Thinsulate Mittens
« on: January 27, 2005, 04:35:59 AM »
Hi guy`s :D
Don`t you just hate it, when your hunt is ruined from your fingers freezing off during a winter hunt? :(  Well I do, and I bought me some (Cabela`s Gore-Tex/Thinsulate Mittens), and they work great. Now I`m sure it would depend on where you live or hunt, but here in Okla, the past 2 weeks, we have had temperature at 12 degrees with a chill factor of -8 degrees. I thought this would be a good time to check out these mittens.
The ad for the mittens read, ( A generous filling of 300-gram Thinsulate Insulation, unbelievable warmth without the weight. Wind-proof Gore-Tex keep you dry, yet breathes to eliminate that clammy feeling hands.)
These are imported from China. The price is $24.95, reduced from $29.95. The only thing I didn`t like about them was that they were a little hard to steer my Kiawaski 4 wheel drive mule. The steering wheel wanted to slip with the gloves on, and their needed to be more leather on the palm of the mittens. But they did do the job of keeping my hands, and fingers warm in the -8 degrees chilling wind. I was outdoors, for 5 hours, in a tower stand, and not once did my fingers get cold. I would recomment them to anyone.

They come in sizes S-2XL
The item in their catalog for the Mittens is
XE-920630
