hey guys, my cousin has priced me his savage bolt action .22 rifle. it has the blued bull barrel and grey laminated stock. it also has a simmons 3*9*32 scope on it. he's hurting for money and wants $150 for it. is this a good deal? how much are these rifles new and how accurate are they?

madmikeray, here is an idea for you. Buy the gun from your cousin. I love my Savage 93. in 22 mag. When your cousin gets back on his feet sell him his rifle back for what you paid for it. He gets his needed cash, you get a sweet shooting 22.

Just an idea.

I think the gun you are talking about is a Savage Mark II BV. New it will cost about $215-$225 without the scope.

i put a rifle basics trigger on mine, it,s almost as accurate as my win 52c. mine shoots in the two,s at fifty yards. it likes federal bulk, but gets the best groups with lapua master.  this gun is hell on squirrels!!!!
i own three coopers, and a few other semi custom guns. this one is a keeper for sure just because it,s  so accurate!

I've owned a couple of savage MKII rifles. They are reliable and accurate. It sounds like a good deal to me.
