I was taught growing up that you didn't kill ANYTHING that you wasn't going to eat, and when you did harvest something it wasn't a Sport, it was a privledge.That holds true in Hunting, Fishing, and ALL the fredoms that we enjoy in this wonderful country. Some people frown on the "Methods" that I use in Catching Catfish (I.E. Limblines, Trotlines, Etc.) but, the realism is that no matter how you hunt or fish, if you practise "Selective Harvest" there will be an abundance of quality game and fish for generations to come. Remember a picture is worth a thousand words.....Tight lines all...

I've never understood the "if you kill it eat it" philosophy or those who claim to practice it.

How many mosquitos have you eaten? How many flies? Have you ever eaten a rat? After that ant or bee or wasp stings you do you let it crawl or fly away or do you eat it? How do those roaches taste?

Sorry it just makes no sense to me. I have to wonder if anyone who claims to practice it really does or is the practice really only rather selective?

Point well taken Graybeard, but, If the people take the time to think through what it is they are hunting or fishing for and not just sling everything they catch up on the bank. In another 30 years there won't be a shortage of game to harvest for the future...
