Anyone load for a 450 Marlin

Does anyone load for a 450 marlin. I just bought one from a fellow member and was wondering if anyone had some good loads worked up for one.

I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

I use a 405gr rem JSP with 48grs of H-322 and a win mag rifle primer. This load is about all I want out of my Marlin guide gun. I also load a 300gr Sierra JHP with 59grs of H-322 and a mag primer. Both are very accurate for my rifle. I have found that H-322 works best in all my big bore loads. Easy to meter but in my 450's and 45/70's I use the mag primer or I'll see some unburned powder residue after firing.  KN

I have used both H322 and IMR 4198 using Sierra 300 Gr. Bullets. The most accurate was with 58.0 Gr. of H-322 for something like 1825 FPS. Seems like it may be a temperature sensative powder, though. Regardless, it is by far my favorite. 4198 gave higher velocities but, of course, much more recoil. It's accuracy isn't' that bad, either. I have also gotten even better results/accuracy using a cast Saeco GC bullet over 57.0 Gr. of H-322. Both bullets and loads have performed excellent on deer. The only bullet I recovered was a 300 Gr. HP that hit on the front center chest of a small doe at 125 yards. I found it in the skin of the abdomen. Well over 3/4 inch expansion. Right now I am working with a Ballisticast bullet but don't think it will be able to touch the Saeco in terms of accuracy. I am not kidding when I tell you it is just about a one hole 5-shot gun. Still amazes me...
