Date a marlin 94?

Just bought a used model 94 . It has checkering and the cross bolt safety.
So it has to be from the eighties up I figure .
I can not get any data on the Marlin 94 Ser 6057---
Any one help?

Harry,
Not able to do much with what you posted. It is most likely a special run from Davidsons or some where like that. Where is the # at? On the tang or on the Left side of the receiver? What Cal? Barrel length?

 :oops: oops!!  Had a look at it again . the Ser.    06o57---  Guess that would make the difference. The rifle is in 44 Mag and sports a 20 inch barrel.

With the 06 prefix that would make it a 1994 rifle. Enjoy it they are a blast to shoot.

Yes this little rifle is a blast to shoot. I am shooting 240 cast ( .430) over bullseye , and the little gun is putting them where I am aiming at 100 yards.
Never seen a 44 shoot so good.
Heard so much against the 94 44Mag  with the 1/38 twist . This one is a keeper as well as the 336/35 RC made in 1954. :grin:
