1894 Broke down need help
« on: January 09, 2005, 01:19:03 PM »
I have a used and abused 44mag that wont chamber a round. I disassembled it and found on the left side of the carrier a broken part. I'm not sure what it is, it is spring loaded, and held in with a pin. What is it and where is the best place to find one?

I should also mention the reason of the strip down. When trying to chamber a round the carrier will not raise up. If I held the rifle up-side down the carrier would raise up.

   Thanks Matt

Is there a range near you where they shoot "Cowboy"? If so, take your new part and rifle up to that range on a day when there is a competition. Someone there will be glad to put it in for you in just a few minutes and invite you to shoot the match with his guns and ammo. Very friendly fellows.

You are right scrounger,
I have a friend that shoots cowboy. I am afraid to shoot cowboy. I know I will fall in love with it, but I cant afford to spend $1000 in guns at one time.
