I have a Model 88 in 308 and enjoy the gun but would rather have it in 284. I have other 308 rifles and really would prefer the gun in 284. I have researched the possiblily of finding an 88 in 284 but have not had any luck. People have told me to just rebarrel the 88 in 284.
Any Winchester fans have any coments on my objectives. Know any 284s floating around for sale? Or, would I best suited to find a used win barrel and just rework my rifle. If so, I need to find a good supplier of a suitable barrel. Give me some suggestions on this. :grin:
