Ok everyone, I do owe you all an explanation
« on: January 14, 2005, 03:27:44 AM »
The reason I had the trigger thread yank is this:

Not because of 1 or 2 complaints, that's just life.

There have been to many that are coming out real light, that's what bothers me.

Would like to make the disclaimer in bolder print and state that Raynor and GBO are not responsible for the outcome. The way is was stated covered just me, not GBO.  I want us both covered in case something should happen. You never know !

With Mac's help, I think we can get it back up. My download is not allowing me to open it and I need for someone to send me another copy, think it's my disc that it's saved to messing up.

Raynor.
If you send me an address by e-mail. I will send you a copy of my print out which is pretty good. I don't see really any legal problems, since you are not charging any money for the advise. I did my triggers just a bit different by tieing the hammer back and wedging the latch button up.

This makes the installation of the trigger group much easier. My 25-06 turned out to have a 16 oz rigger and I love it. This happens when you really lighten the trigger return spring. No big deal for me, but it may bother others. I am used to 1.5oz triggers on my BR guns so I think nothing of it.

With an exposed hammer this is not as serious as it may sound, because you don't cock the hammer until you ready to fire. You have a similar situation when you using a double set trigger or a single set trigger.

Raynor: I was gonna do mine, but without the trigger return spring cutoff.  Just going for the smoothing out of the surfaces.

I did all the smoothing and polishing AND cut the spring.

I was afraid I couldn't get it back together so I only wanted to try it once and I tried to just make everything look like what I had a picture of, the spring, the stoning. Everything I just copied what I say AND MINE IS JUST A HAIR TO THE SAFE SIDE OF DANGEROUS.

That is not neccessary to do. It is not that hard to do if you follow the directions and make sure you have enough light to see what you are doing. Don't worry about how confusing the pieces all look. Just follow the directions and work one step at a time.

Raynor, I can't find the thread you asked me to check on. If you can bring it back to top or tell me where to look I'll see what I can do.

OK I see the problem Raynor. Your images don't end with .jpg like normal images do. For what it's worth those we host here at GBO don't either. And for some reason the forum software doesn't recognize them as images. They work fine clicking on them but not as buried images. Matt is working on this. Not sure when he's gonna fix it tho. He does at least now know the problem, he's just gotta figure out how to make the software recognize them as images.

You have two options, ok three.

1. Leave them as is and just let them be URLs folks click on to see the image.

2. Find another site to host them that assigns an actual .jpg URL to them.

3. If all else fails I can go in and manually assign URLs to them for you with end with .jpg.

Thanks GB,

Figured it was something like that, I've always used picture.com's site and never a problem until the software upgrades.

I also tried your album and same thing, that made me believe it was probably a software issue. Just wasn't sure.

Yup, fer now until Matt gets it sorta out you have to have a URL ending in some image suffix to make it work. Either .jpg, .gif, or some such. I hope he gets it worked out soon.

Your welcome guys, the pics seem a little fuzzy compared to what they were. Different host for the pics, that's could be why!

Revised it a little, but pretty much the same old.
