Can anyone explain how to get the forend off a 760 with the slide tube attached to the barrel with a hanger?  Is there someplace the manual can be accessed on the web?

Remove the trigger assembly first. If you open the bolt there is a hole in the pump hanger tube.  A small rod inserted thru this hole allows the hanger bar to be unscrewed from the receiver. Freeing the barrel/bolt assembly and the pump arm. The parts diagram link below will help.  It's really not hard..  The metal tube in the fore arm(fore end tube) is retained by a nut with 2 notches. It's best to use a wrench made to insert in these and unscrew the tubular nut similar to a choke tube, but a soft brass or copper punch can be used to tap the grooves and remove the fore arm.
