will cleaning w/ brass brushes in a shotgun scratch the bore???they have the roll over core not the chopped center but i had never heard of brass, only bronze?

The steel cored brushes are dangerous, but the difference between bronze and brass is not great. From what I understand most brass today is actually phosphor bronze?
