Darn it!

Drove to Aberdeen just across the state line
The weather was nasty but the hiway was fine
drove across town to my favorite gunshop
when I got there from the jeep I did hop
strolled into the store with a rifle in hand
To have the trigger done by my favorite Handi-Man
thought I'd look around sort of get an eye-full
when something grabbed my arm it was a handi rifle
I though it winked at me it was quite a shock
But I turned it around looking at the cinnamon stock
Well at that time I thought that I better go
For the hiway home was covered with ice and snow
When I walked in the house my wife gave a groan
That darned Handi Rifle had followed me home :P

New NEF Ultra 223 24 inch Heavy barrel. Come on prairie dogs. :-)
shot placement is everything.

Man I hate it when that happens. Them dang pesky guns do that to me all the time. Why just a week or so ago I drove over just to kinda look around and see what was in my local gun shop and maybe talk with the owner a bit.

Dunno how the heck it happened but when I got home and looked in the back seat of my truck I noticed a Browning Ultra XS Sporting Clays 20 ga. O/U laying there. I thought about taking it back but hey I figured Steve must have not wanted it or it wouldn't have followed me home. He must have been mistreating it or something.

Besides I'd been wanting me another 20 ga. Browning O/U for some while and he had told he he wasn't gonna be able to get one for me any time soon.

Yup hate it when things like that happen.

You gotta remember to lock up the truck before you go in. Well Maybe. Anyway you get credit for  saving a poor otherwise homeless firearm which could have fallen into the wrong hands.
shot placement is everything.

Ought to work good in those gullys and shelter belts just north of you.. Maybe over by Valley City, off lake Ashtabula.
