Homemade brass firecracker cannon DESIGN

In the absence of Hermit's design (I presume he's plesently discracted with his new wife) I propose that we design a replacement, or series of them here.

I volunteer to do the cad work, and request that y'all submit comments and recommendations.

Two questions to start with:

1. How big a fire cracker should this handle?  (That determines bore size.)

2. What should this be a model of.

The ball's in your court....

1. I would think the black cat size would be great very common and cheap.(at least during the 4th time periord)

2. I realy don't care on that. I love all cannons

Whatever size is easily available. Mid size firecracker size. Not large not the smallest.

Agree with both of the above.  In inches or millimeters (bore diameter) how big would that be?

Cat,

I thought I had a few around here somewhere but I can't find them right now. However, if memory serves me, the typical firecracker is 1.5" long and about the diameter of a pencil (whatever that is).

A little brass naval cannon would be cool.

Try to copy Hermits design. That looked pretty neat.
