Swapping stocks
« on: January 26, 2005, 01:26:43 AM »
I was wondering if any of you had been swapping out your open sight/shotgun stocks for the raised check piece scope stock when swapping barrels. Will this cause a problem over time with the removal & replacement of the stocks again & again. There are some calibers I like to shoot with open sights & others I like scopes, or should you try & dedicate a frame to a stock type :?
That's my boy, GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

IMO you are better off with dedicated receivers, one for rifle barrels one for shotgun barrels.  I think that constantly removing and replacing the butt stocks would have to cause some wear and looseness leading to accuracy problems down the road.
