I watched it about a half dozen times. Looks posed to me. I think the entire thing was a set up just for the photo. Stupid yes but not what it's protrayed to be in my opinion.

I agree with GB. What're the odds of an ND happening like that, right in front of a camera? It'd be interesting to know the motivation - maybe staged for one of those "World's Biggest Dumbass" TV shows, perhaps?

Staged or not that would be a qualifier for bonehead move of the week.
That shows a lot of what ifs to me like if the turd fell on the gun or
the gun slipped out of his grip and shot the moron shooting the video.

I agree, it looks like it was staged. Look at the bottom right, there appears to be another camera set up on a tripod. If it ain't staged
