How do they compare in price compared to the Remington Poly tip ammo? I was not happy with the first box I shot at darn near 12 bucks a box for the Remington stuff too many misfires but I have been told the price has come down some depending on where you buy it and they took care of the misfire problems?

? I guess I will have to buy a other box and see I do know that polytipped Rem stuff did shoot excellent in my Henry Lever. I just was not happy with the price and the misfires but if the price has come down some and they took care of the misfires it should be good ammo. I know my gun liked it as far as accuracy went. I shot most up in a Savage Striker pistol which had such a bad trigger accuracy was hard to get consistant. DO not have that problem with my Henry it shoots excellent with a decent factory trigger.

Unfortunately I don't know anything more about the stuff than what you see on that link, that's why I possed the question. I found it by doing a Google search of ".22 Magnum Ammunition". I was thinking about all of the fancy ballistic tipped ammo coming out in .22HMR and .17HMR and wondered if anyone was doing anything with the trusty (or is that rusty) old .22WMR, that's what prompted the Google search. I think that the .22 Mag. has a lot of un-tapped potential and wondered if ammo manufacturers have been starting to load better designing bullets in them. Seems to me a lot of old .22 Mag's would be coming out of the closets if these new better performing bullets were readily available and folks new about them.

They are almost the same as the REM Premier but cost quite abit more, in my opinion they are not worth it.

Nothing special, my 2 WRM's shoot the Winchester 40gr JHP the best around 1' at 100 yards these group no better than 2".

Brett,

They run about $20.00 a box. You order them from Outland Sales. They are 35 gr. as compared to the 33 gr. Remington offering at less than half the price. Accuracy is very good in both but for the price the Remington gets the edge. These are just the start of new loads for the .22 WMR that the .17 HMR caused. The shooting world is demanding better, more accurate loads for the tried and true .22 magnum. Lawdog
