Trimming cases after each firing?

I have been reloading for my 308 win for awhile now and I am plagued by having to trim the cases after each firing. I currently use the Lee case length gauge which trims my cases back to around 2.010 - 2.011" but after firing with a moderate load the case after FL resizing is now at the maximum 2.015" mark and thus I have to trim it again. Is this normal or what? since my trimmer doesn't actually take it back to the listed minimum case trim-to length. I set my FL die to where the case will barely chamber, but the bolt isn't hard to push down either.

Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.

You may want to change the lube that you are using inside the case mouth. It sounds like you are doing minimal case sizing so the expander and faulty lube may be doing the mischief

I have been using the  Hornady One-shot spray lube on all of my cases. This last go around I figured I would try to use a little more on the cases and inside the mouth and ended up with some dented shoulders. But after I cleaned out the die and then wiped off the shoulders of the remaining cases they went in and out of the die with ease. But I still ended up with the measurements I posted previously.

Bearwolf31: I think the question is more abt what you lube the inside of the neck with.  Personally I use the white "stuff" from lee, put a tiny bit on a q-tip and give the inside of the neck a quick swipe and man does it make a difference when ya "drag" the expander thru... I have tried regular case lubes but dislike that they are a pain to clean off, but I do sometimes use the dry mica on a brush "kit" from midway, but some cases/ calibers drag hard so they get the "white tube".... Your cases certainly should not grow that much in one firing/ loading cycle I wouldn't think....Marty

I would try a neck sizing die. You're not going to get very long case life with that much trimming. Your chamber must be on the large end of the scale.
