3 .223's and a wife? I see no problem there..One for you to shoot and one for her to shoot when you spend some quality time together And since time spent alone with your wife is so important in a relationship one for a spare in case one breaks!
The value of a relationship and time spent together should not be compromised by a broken gun!!! I for one feel you should be commended for your sacrifice, if you were not thinking of her you could have gotton only one .223 and 2 other calibers for yourself!!! Another more selfish person might have done just that, but not you...You my good friend and certified Handi-holic are a gem among men and the sooner she realizes it you can both move to the next step in your beautiful blossoming relationship!!!...Carry On!!!....<><.... :-D

Spend too much time alone with your wife and the third .223 might just be for the little one that is a result of the too much time alone!!!
Just kiddin around.  That is great to have 3.  My one is very enjoyable.

I thought I was bad having two 223's   I have the stainless and the Ultra. After 37 years my wife knows whats comming next. Just not which caliber. . She likes to shoot as well but thinks if you have a 22, a 22 pistol and a deer rifle, which for her means her 250 Savage, that thats all you should need. If I go to Fargo or Aberdeen and call her on the way home she just asks what kind of gun is it. Its hell to be so predictable. :)
shot placement is everything.

I went with the, one is for me, one for you, one for spare theory, Not sure if she bought it. Still waiting for response. She does shoot, so maybe she will see I was thinking of her. I told her it was like my favorite pair of camo. If you use it too much, it might wear out. so three will solve the problem.

One way to make sure she believes it is to live it. Next time you go to the range bring her and all 3 .223's, shoot 2 at the same time. each of you choosing one to shoot, that shows you need 2. Then throw #3 into the mix by noting as well as being a spare we will now each shoot each of the 3 guns and see which we like best. Let her claim ownership of the one she likes best with the "spare" being the one which does not shoot the "best" for either of you. If she likes and claims your favorite .223 so be it, you can still shoot it when she's not with you. Besides, if she claims your favorite, it might just be a reason to buy another!!!....<><.... :-D
