41 Long Colt loading information
« on: January 15, 2005, 02:31:40 PM »
I had an article published in Shoot! magazine a little over a year ago about loading for the 41 Long Colt cartridge.  And, it was about a year old when published.  In the two years since I originally wrote it, I added some more bullets and did some more testing on heel-base bullets.  I revised the article to include the latest information (it is up to 10 different bullets now).

Anyone who would like a copy, can get one just by asking.  I can e-mail you a MicroSoft Word document or, if you prefer, can send a hardcopy (US only).  My e-mail address is    harryo(at)tconl.com

Of course replace the (at)

Hey Harry!

You don't happen to shoot with any of those charactors in western Iowa do ya? If so mebbe we can meet up down the trail sometime. I plan to shoot out there a time or two this coming CAS season! :-)

I don' shoot the 41s but I'd be interested in the article. I'll drop ya a PM with e-mule addy when I get a few more minute on the 'puter. My kids are giving me "the look" right now!

Fraid not.  My range is about 45 minutes south of Omaha (in Weeping Water) and they don't have CAS.  Besides, I don't have a double shotgun with exterior hammers yet.  I have heard that there is an active bunch north of Omaha a ways, but have not tracked them down.
