Hi all, I've been seriously thinking about an 1895gs for bear and elk, happened into the local Gander Mountain today and they had a "used" 1895m that is in new condition. Already had leopold quick detach mounts with a burris 3.5x pistol scope mounted forward and ghost ring sites on it. It also had a good recoil pad and tripod on it, exactly what I would do to a gs. I couldn't pass it up, and now need to develop some loads for it.
What is everyone using for the 450 marlin? I plan on reloading some reduced plinking loads, as well as some fairly hot bear loads, and am curious to see what others are doing. Also, I've never loaded a straight wall cartridge and any tips would be greatly appreciated.
