Wells Rifle Co ?

Out of interest, I was wondering what ever happend to Wells Rifle Co [1874 Sharps.com) ? I believe they manufactured a well made Sharps 74 rifle, tho appear to have disappeared. Is there anyone shooting the Wells rifles? Is the Company still around? Just curious....

last I heard they closed up shop. they were on the webbut they said they were not making any more I think the owner got sick.....Dean

I posted this question elsewhere too and seems there were 33 Wells Rifles made before closure. Have heard from a couple of owners, who are very impressed with their rifles. I would imagine they are sitting on a good collectors piece too. A shame to hear Wells are no longer in production.
